Reciprocal intelligence for wellness. Technology that learns with you, not from you.
Mirror Compass was born from clinical frustration and possibility.
After years of practicing psychiatry, I saw the same pattern: meaningful progress in session, followed by weeks of clients navigating alone. Existing wellness apps offered generic advice based on population averages. Nothing learned what specifically helped each person. Nothing respected their data or their healing journey.
I asked: What if technology could learn WITH you? What if it could discover that breathing exercises calm most people but actually increase YOUR anxiety—and adapt accordingly? What if your wellness data stayed yours, never sold to advertisers or extracted for profit?
Mirror Compass is that tool. It combines advances in causal machine learning with privacy-preserving architecture to create genuinely personalized wellness support.
To create wellness technology that serves people—not the other way around.
We believe technology should enhance human flourishing without extracting human data. We believe personalization should mean actually personal, not "people statistically similar to you." We believe vulnerable populations deserve proven tools, not experiments.
The system learns WITH you, not FROM you. This is partnership, not extraction. Guided by Indigenous principles of relational technology—seven-generation thinking applied to AI.
Your data is yours. It stays on your device. We will never sell it, monetize it, or use it for advertising. Your healing journey belongs to you.
Mirror Compass makes offers. You retain full agency to accept, modify, or decline. We inform and support; we don't mandate or manipulate.
Technology cannot replace human relationship. Mirror Compass is designed to support therapy, not supplant it. The therapeutic alliance is sacred and irreplaceable.
Mirror Compass was created by a practicing psychiatrist with clinical experience in trauma, ADHD, and veteran care. The technology emerged from witnessing gaps in the current system: the 167 hours between sessions, the generic nature of existing wellness apps, and the extraction-based business models that treat healing data as product.
The development is guided by Indigenous principles of reciprocal intelligence, developed in partnership with cultural advisors and shaped by seven-generation thinking—asking not just "does this work?" but "who does this serve, and will it still serve them in seven generations?"
